This season we were lucky enough to partner with seasoned fashion professionals on our VAWK Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection creative shoot. We drove two hours outside of Toronto to do a creative in the Cheltenham Badlands Trail in Caledon, Ontario.
Chris Vassalos- Photography
Chris is an emerging Canadian photographer currently based in Toronto.
Born to Greek parents, his aesthetic has been heavily influenced by his rich cultural upbringing. He majored in Photography at The School of Image Arts and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Ryerson Polytechnic University. He has always been fascinated by faces.
Whether drawn to the complexity of portraiture or the creative freedom offered by fashion editorial, Chris’ passion for image making stems from his love for a good story.
Ishie – Model
As a veteran model for VAWK since Autumn/Winter 2010, Ishie was our first choice for this shoot. With her razors sharp look and walk, Ishie has graced the pages of many prestigious fashion magazines and has appeared in major advertising campaigns. Ishie is part of Elmer Olsen Model Management, which is at the forefront of “personal” model management and talent discovery and the agency behind top models like Tara Gill and Daria Werbowy.
Tricia Hall - Style
Multi-talented Toronto based fashion stylist Tricia Hall (Ford Artists) was an obvious choice for our badlands shoot. Tricia has been the stylist for our shows at Toronto fashion week every season since our Spring/Summer 2010 presentation.
Educated in visual arts and fashion design at George Brown, Tricia has extensive experience working with both commercial and editorial clients in Canada and in the United States including The Bay, Amazon, Holt Renfrew and Dressed to Kill magazine to name a few. She also enjoys expressing her creativity through photography, and poetry.
