COLLISION FUNGI- VAWK Fall Winter 2010 Collection

Collision Fungi, a collection inspired by beauty of decay and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. A collection pieced together by all things fallen apart and one hopeful eye on the future. Over the past year with everything fallen apart, breaking at the seams, in my life, in economy, in world issues and in the death of a legendary designer. This collection is dedicated to my friends who unconditionally supported the evolution of VAWK and to my business partner Ben Barry who continues to believe in the beauty of this business venture in tough economic time and in my touch of “gold”. Fashion to me will always breathe optimism into the face of adversity and I hope I can do the same.

Fashion is a unique art form; the objective is not only to inspire on a runway or in an image, but also on a woman’s body as she breathes her own energy into the creation.  It is with this philosophy in mind that we create our collections at VAWK. .

On this journey of building VAWK, we are fortunate to work with such an incredible team who helps us realize our vision. We can only build a fashion economy in Canada by respecting our designers’ vision, creativity and talent; no strings attached. To each of you who have offered your unconditional support, I thank you.

Most importantly, I thank my Partner whose creative genius you are about to experience. Whatever Sunny touches turns to gold, and it is an honour to work with someone whose vision inspires me daily.

Be you,

Ben
